Who we are
Kinder Haus Montessori Preschool and Childcare is operated by Kinder Haus Inc., a Louisiana corporation, at 5201 West Napoleon Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana 70001. We have served families in the greater New Orleans area since 1984, caring for children from twelve months through six years of age.
We know that trusting a school with your family's information is a serious thing. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What this policy covers
This policy covers information collected through kinderhausmontessori.com. It does not cover the enrollment paperwork you complete with us after a tour, or the records we keep for enrolled children. Those are handled under the school's enrollment and records practices, which we will walk you through directly.
Information you give us
You can read everything on this website without telling us anything about yourself. We only receive information when you choose to send it, which usually happens in one of three ways:
- Requesting a tour. Our tour request form asks for your name, email address, and phone number, and gives you room to tell us about your child's age, the program you are interested in, when you would like to start, and anything else you would like us to know.
- Signing up for school news. If you ask to receive news or updates from us, we collect your name and email address.
- Contacting us directly. If you email or call the number listed on this site, we keep what you send us so we can respond and follow up.
Please send only what the form asks for. A tour request is not the place for your child's medical history, developmental records, or other sensitive details. There will be time for that conversation in person, and we would rather have it face to face.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records some basic technical information when you visit: your general location, the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you looked at, and how you arrived at our site. We use this to understand which pages families find useful and to keep the site working properly. We do not use it to identify you personally.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to:
- respond to your tour request and arrange a visit;
- answer your questions about programs, hours, tuition, and availability;
- follow up after a tour and guide you through registration if you decide to enroll;
- send school news and updates, if you asked to receive them;
- keep our waitlist and respond when a place opens in the classroom you want;
- improve the website and understand what families are looking for.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
Photographs and video of children
Photographs of children appear on this website and on our social media pages only where we hold a signed permission form from that child's parent or guardian. We do not publish children's full names alongside their photographs.
If you have given permission and later change your mind, tell us and we will remove the images from our website and our own social media pages. Please know that once an image has been shared or copied by someone else online, we cannot guarantee its removal everywhere.
Children's privacy
This website is written for parents and guardians, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information online from children under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us information through this website, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
Our site uses small files called cookies. Some are necessary to make pages load and forms work. Others help us count visits and see which pages are most useful. We do not currently use cookies to show you advertising or to follow you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

Our website uses encryption so that information you send through a form travels securely. Access to form submissions and email lists is limited to the staff who need it to do their jobs. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us, and if a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you as required by Louisiana law.
How long we keep it
We keep tour requests and inquiries only as long as we may reasonably need them to follow up — generally no longer than two years after our last contact with you, unless your child enrolls. If your child enrolls, information becomes part of the school's records and is kept according to our records practices and Louisiana childcare licensing requirements. Email subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, delete your information, or stop contacting you. Write to us using the details below and we will respond promptly. Some information we are required to keep, such as records for enrolled children, and we will tell you if that applies.
Other websites
Our site links to other places, including our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages. Once you follow a link away from our site, that company's privacy policy applies, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and change the effective date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
